      THIS PHRASE HAS ITS ORIGIN IN THE WORLD OF THEATER. PERFORMERS HAD A SUPERSTITION THAT SAYING “GOOD LUCK” WOULD ACTUALLY BRING THEM BAD LUCK, SO “BREAK A LEG” WAS USED INSTEAD.
