The organizer can make these changes on the&nbsp;<strong>Meeting options<\/strong>&nbsp;web page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ID0EFFBBDBF\">Go to Meeting options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can access this page a few different ways, depending on what kind of meeting it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ID0EDDBFBBDBF\">Scheduled meetings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several different ways to get to&nbsp;<strong>Meeting options&nbsp;<\/strong>for a scheduled meeting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In Teams, go to&nbsp;<strong>Calendar<\/strong>&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/1ca3ce17-90e8-41de-a9d5-05fd92fb7f6d.png\" alt=\"Meetings button\">, select a meeting, and then&nbsp;<strong>Meeting options<\/strong>.<\/li><li>In a meeting invitation, select&nbsp;<strong>Meeting options<\/strong>.<\/li><li>During a meeting, select&nbsp;<strong>More actions<\/strong>&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/2f8a3a76-549c-4ff7-9096-72d2392f2d17.png\" alt=\"More options icon\">&nbsp;&nbsp;at the top of the meeting window, and then&nbsp;<strong>Meeting options<\/strong>. A panel will open on the right, and you can change your options right from there.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li><li>Another way to get there during a meeting is to select&nbsp;<strong>Show participants<\/strong>&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/7dfc735e-9212-45d4-9a69-4e097289203c.png\" alt=\"Show participants icon\">&nbsp;&nbsp;in the meeting controls. Then, above the list of participants, choose&nbsp;<strong>Manage permissions<\/strong>&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/b9c1a136-3bee-4e7d-b1e6-f1aca687014d.jpg\" alt=\"The manage participants icon in Microsoft Teams\">.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ID0EDBBFBBDBF\">Instant meetings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve started a meeting by selecting&nbsp;<strong>Meet now<\/strong>&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/fcc678d3-09bf-414b-ba6f-e22c22dc8894.png\" alt=\"Meet now button\">&nbsp;&nbsp;(whether from a channel or your calendar):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Choose&nbsp;<strong>Show participants<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/7dfc735e-9212-45d4-9a69-4e097289203c.png\" alt=\"Show participants icon\">&nbsp;in your meeting controls. You&#8217;ll see a list of everyone in the meeting.<\/li><li>Above the list, select&nbsp;<strong>Manage permissions&nbsp;<\/strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/b9c1a136-3bee-4e7d-b1e6-f1aca687014d.jpg\" alt=\"The manage participants icon in Microsoft Teams\">&nbsp;to go to&nbsp;<strong>Meeting options<\/strong>.<br><br>Another way to get there during your meeting is to select&nbsp;<strong>More actions<\/strong>&nbsp;at the top of the meeting window, and then&nbsp;<strong>Meeting options<\/strong>. A panel will open on the right, and you can change your options right from there.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ID0EFDBBDBF\">Change participant settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several different participant settings a meeting organizer can change.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ID0EDPBDBBDBF\">Choose who can bypass the lobby<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As the meeting organizer, you get to decide who gets into your meetings directly, and who should wait&nbsp;for someone to let them in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you choose to have people wait, you (and anyone else allowed to admit people) will see a list of people in the lobby. From there you can choose whether to admit or deny them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><th>Who can bypass the lobby?&nbsp;<\/th><th>What happens<\/th><th>Recommended when&#8230;<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Only you<\/td><td>As the meeting organizer, only you can get into your meeting directly. Everyone else will wait in the lobby.<\/td><td>You want everyone else to wait in the lobby until you&#8217;re ready to admit them.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>People I invite*<\/td><td>Anyone who receives the invitation, including those to whom it&#8217;s forwarded, will join the meeting directly. This doesn&#8217;t include distribution lists\u2014people must be invited individually.&nbsp;<strong>If you don&#8217;t want people to forward the invite&nbsp;to others, turn off Allow Forwarding in the invitation<\/strong>.<\/td><td>You want a specific, limited group of people to join the meeting directly, and everyone else to wait in the lobby.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>People in my organization<\/td><td>Only people within your org&nbsp;can get into your meeting directly. Everyone else will wait in the lobby.<\/td><td>You want all guests and external people to wait in the lobby so you can approve them one by one.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>People in my organization and guests<\/td><td>People in your org and guests (including those who have different email domains than yours)&nbsp;can get into your meetings directly.<\/td><td>You want all external people (anyone outside your org, except guests) to wait in the lobby so you can approve them one by one.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>People in my organization and trusted organizations, and guests<\/td><td>People in your Teams org, external participants from trusted organizations, and guests&nbsp;can get into your meetings directly.<\/td><td>You want some external people to wait in the lobby so you can approve them one by one.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Everyone<\/td><td>Anyone who has access to the meeting link gets into the meeting directly, including people who call in.Depending on the meeting policy or settings, anonymous users may still be placed into the lobby even if&nbsp;<strong>Everyone&nbsp;<\/strong>is selected.<\/td><td>You don\u2019t want anyone to wait in the lobby. You want everyone to be able to join your meetings without specific approval.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>*&nbsp;<em>Unavailable in channel meetings&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important:&nbsp;<\/strong>In large Teams meetings (300 or more attendees), adjust&nbsp;<strong>Who can bypass the lobby?<\/strong>&nbsp;to a minimum of&nbsp;<strong>People in my organization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ID0EDNBDBBDBF\">Let people calling in by phone bypass the lobby<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;ll see a toggle next to&nbsp;<strong>Always let callers bypass the lobby<\/strong>. When this setting is enabled, people calling in by phone will join your meeting without having to wait for someone to admit them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the toggle to turn it on or off.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ID0EDLBDBBDBF\">Get notified when callers join or leave<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You may want to receive an alert&nbsp;when someone calling in by phone joins or leaves your meeting. (Your admin might have enabled these alerts&nbsp;by default.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To change this setting, select the toggle next to&nbsp;<strong>Announce when callers join or leave?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ID0EDJBDBBDBF\">Choose who can present<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>See&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/roles-in-a-teams-meeting-c16fa7d0-1666-4dde-8686-0a0bfe16e019\">Roles in a Teams meeting<\/a>&nbsp;for details about selecting presenters and changing someone&#8217;s role before and during a meeting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:&nbsp;<\/strong>Meeting rooms are part of your org, so they&#8217;ll join meetings the same way any other account in your org does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ID0EDHBDBBDBF\">Prevent attendees from unmuting themselves and sharing video<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To avoid distractions in large meetings, you may want to decide when attendees can unmute and share their video. For details, see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/manage-attendee-audio-and-video-permissions-in-teams-meetings-f9db15e1-f46f-46da-95c6-34f9f39e671a\">Manage attendee audio and video permissions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To prevent attendees from unmuting, turn off the toggle next to&nbsp;<strong>Allow mic for attendees?<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To prevent attendees from sharing video, turn off the toggle next to&nbsp;<strong>Allow camera for attendees?<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ID0EDFBDBBDBF\">Record automatically<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you turn on this option, a recording and&nbsp;transcription of your meeting will begin as soon as the meeting starts.&nbsp;For more info, see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/record-a-meeting-in-teams-34dfbe7f-b07d-4a27-b4c6-de62f1348c24\">Record a meeting in Teams<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ID0EDDBDBBDBF\">Allow meeting chat<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In general, people who are on the meeting invite can participate in a meeting chat&nbsp;before, during, and after the&nbsp;meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you select&nbsp;<strong>Disabled&nbsp;<\/strong>for this option,&nbsp;there will be no meeting chat at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you select&nbsp;<strong>In-meeting only<\/strong>, meeting chat will be unavailable before and&nbsp;after the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ID0EDBBDBBDBF\">Allow reactions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can choose whether or not people are able to use live reactions in a meeting. If you choose not to allow it, they will&nbsp;still be able to raise their hand.&nbsp;For more info, see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/express-yourself-in-teams-meetings-with-live-reactions-a8323a40-3d07-4129-934b-305370a36e21\">Express yourself in Teams meetings with live reactions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ID0EDBBBDBF\">Lock a meeting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In a Teams meeting, meeting organizers can choose to lock their meetings to prevent subsequent join attempts.
