It is a day we encourage every individual, young and old, to pause, to give thanks, and to remember.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remembrance Day or Armistice Day is on\u00a0 November 11th. It marks the end of hostilities during the first world war and an opportunity to recall all those who have served in the nation\u2019s defense. Poopy is a symbol of this day.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.atfal.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Remembrance-Day-Page-Image.jpg\" alt=\"Atfal Remembrance Day - Atfal Canada United Under One\"\/><figcaption>2021-11-11<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Remembrance Day Ceremony has played a major role in Remembrance since 1931.\u00a0Every year, at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we gather in memorial parks, community halls, workplaces, schools, and homes to stand in honour of all who have fallen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pandemic restrictions have meant smaller ceremonies or their outright cancellation. Other gatherings are being replaced with virtual ceremonies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nevertheless, the tradition of Remembrance will continue, and Canada\u2019s Fallen will not be forgotten.
