Login to Admin console<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To be able to create and manage groups, you must be a Google Workspace admin, if you&#8217;re not you can ask your administrator to&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.goldyarora.com\/delegated-administration-google-apps\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">delegate administration permissions<\/a>&nbsp;to you.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>From Gmail, click on settings icon then click on &#8216;<em>Manage thid domain&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>to login with your admin username and password.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldyarora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Go-to-manaage-this-domain-from-Gmail.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrocdn.com\/aGxIKXvSLxnUSlbHydJcoISvYKUQqJTv\/assets\/static\/optimized\/rev-e094d0b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Go-to-manaage-this-domain-from-Gmail-1030x579.png\" alt=\"Go to manage this domain from Gmail\" title=\"Easily send and receive emails in Google Workspace Groups 2\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Click &#8216;+&#8217; icon to create new Group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>If you already have groups created, you will see them listed from where you can choose to manage them.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>However, to create a new group, click on a &#8216;+&#8217; icon at the right-bottom of the page.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldyarora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/click-plus-icon-to-create-new-group.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrocdn.com\/aGxIKXvSLxnUSlbHydJcoISvYKUQqJTv\/assets\/static\/optimized\/rev-e094d0b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/click-plus-icon-to-create-new-group-1030x579.png\" alt=\"click plus icon to create new group\" title=\"Easily send and receive emails in Google Workspace Groups 4\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Create new Group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To create a new group complete a form as required. In field (1) type new group name followed by a group username in field (2).<\/li><li>If you have more than one domains, you can choose which domain you want to associate this group to in field (3).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Then choose access level from drop down (4). There&#8217;re different access levels, you can read a description on each access level to choose one that suites your use case.<\/li><li>To be able to receive emails from addresses outside your domain, check option (5). Manage users in Group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>G suite gives you different ways to manage your groups including creating nick names (aliases), managing access levels, etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>For this, you will click on &#8216;<em>Manage users&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>option to be able to add and manage users in your group.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldyarora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/click-manage-users-in-this-group.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrocdn.com\/aGxIKXvSLxnUSlbHydJcoISvYKUQqJTv\/assets\/static\/optimized\/rev-e094d0b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/click-manage-users-in-this-group-1030x579.png\" alt=\"click manage users in this group\" title=\"Easily send and receive emails in Google Workspace Groups 6\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Add members to Group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Clicking on &#8216;<em>Manage user&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>from previous step leads you to a form where you can add new members.<\/li><li>To add a member, type their email address in field (1). This can as well be an email address outside your domain.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Next, select whether a user should be a &#8216;<em>member&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>or &#8216;<em>owner&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>from option (2). Then click on &#8216;<em>Add&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>button to create new user.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldyarora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/add-members-to-your-newly-created-group.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrocdn.com\/aGxIKXvSLxnUSlbHydJcoISvYKUQqJTv\/assets\/static\/optimized\/rev-e094d0b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/add-members-to-your-newly-created-group-1030x579.png\" alt=\"add members to your newly created group\" title=\"Easily send and receive emails in Google Workspace Groups 7\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Test if users receive email<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>What should now be happening is, whenever an email is sent to the group email address, all members under that group should receive that email.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>For instance, If I send an email to &#8216;<em>salesdemo@goldyarora.com&#8217; ,<\/em>&nbsp;<em>&#8216;ga@goldyarora.com&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>should receive this email too.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldyarora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/sending-test-email-to-group-email-address.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrocdn.com\/aGxIKXvSLxnUSlbHydJcoISvYKUQqJTv\/assets\/static\/optimized\/rev-e094d0b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/sending-test-email-to-group-email-address-1030x579.png\" alt=\"sending test email to group email address\" title=\"Easily send and receive emails in Google Workspace Groups 8\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Test results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>As expected, a member under sales group receives an email sent to the group email.<\/li><li>Now what if this user wants to send and reply to emails using group email? Configure &#8216;Send mail as&#8217;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To let members send and reply to emails using group email,&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.goldyarora.com\/gmail-send-mail-as-setup\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8216;Send mail as&#8217;<\/a>&nbsp;feature has to be configured on a member&#8217;s Gmail account.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>From a member&#8217;s email account, click on the settings icon then click on &#8216;<em>Settings&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>from drop down menu.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldyarora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/go-to-Gmail-settings.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrocdn.com\/aGxIKXvSLxnUSlbHydJcoISvYKUQqJTv\/assets\/static\/optimized\/rev-e094d0b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/go-to-Gmail-settings-1030x579.png\" alt=\"go to Gmail settings\" title=\"Easily send and receive emails in Google Workspace Groups 10\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7(b). Add another email<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>On the settings page, click &#8216;<em>Accounts and imports&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>tab.<\/li><li>In &#8216;<em>Send mail as&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>section, click &#8216;<em>Add another email address you own&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>option.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldyarora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Gmail-accounts-and-imports-tab-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrocdn.com\/aGxIKXvSLxnUSlbHydJcoISvYKUQqJTv\/assets\/static\/optimized\/rev-e094d0b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Gmail-accounts-and-imports-tab-1-1030x579.png\" alt=\"Gmail accounts and imports tab (1)\" title=\"Easily send and receive emails in Google Workspace Groups 11\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7(c). Add group email<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In the form provide, in field (1) type a name that shows up when you send an email with this address.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In field (2) type in the group email address. Uncheck option (3) so this email is not treated as your nickname.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Click on &#8216;<em>Next step&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>button to proceed to following step.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldyarora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/add-group-email-address.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrocdn.com\/aGxIKXvSLxnUSlbHydJcoISvYKUQqJTv\/assets\/static\/optimized\/rev-e094d0b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/add-group-email-address-1030x579.png\" alt=\"add group email address\" title=\"Easily send and receive emails in Google Workspace Groups 12\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Verify email ownership<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Before using this email address to send emails, Google requires that you verify this email ownership.<\/li><li>Click on &#8216;<em>Send verification&#8217;&nbsp;<\/em>button to let Google send a verification code to the group email<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldyarora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Send-verification-to-group-email.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrocdn.com\/aGxIKXvSLxnUSlbHydJcoISvYKUQqJTv\/assets\/static\/optimized\/rev-e094d0b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Send-verification-to-group-email-1030x579.png\" alt=\"Send verification to group email\" title=\"Easily send and receive emails in Google Workspace Groups 13\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8(b). Copy verification code<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>When Google sends a verification to the group email email, you also receive it in your personal email inbox since you&#8217;re a member of that group.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>So, just copy the code and move on to next step.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldyarora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/copy-verification-code-from-your-email.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nitrocdn.com\/aGxIKXvSLxnUSlbHydJcoISvYKUQqJTv\/assets\/static\/optimized\/rev-e094d0b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/copy-verification-code-from-your-email-1030x579.png\" alt=\"copy verification code from your email\" title=\"Easily send and receive emails in Google Workspace Groups 14\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8(c).
