When installing the Access for Windows Client, a Reboot pending<\/strong> message may appear resulting in the installation being aborted. Rebooting the PC has no effect on the message.

When this occurs, you should check the following registry path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Session Manager<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.<\/td>Look for the following key: PendingFileRenameOperations<\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
2.<\/td>Right-click -> Rename<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
3.<\/td>Add a prefix ### and press Enter.<\/td><\/tr>
4.<\/td>Close regedit and attempt the installation. Note:<\/strong> Make sure to go back and remove the ### prefix.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The installation should continue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delete above key is also a solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
